gta 4 cannot install with % p error fix

this is a very common error when you try to install gta 4 on windows 7 or above os.
the solution is very easy. go to gta 4 folder, right click on 'setup' icon and go to properties then open the compatibility tab and change the compatibility to xp service pack 3.
done....now the set up will run smooth.
