Do you want to establish a career in gaming? If yes, this article is for you.
But i am not going to give you the information of gaming courses, institute or fee structure. All these things you can find on net without my help. Here i will try to give you a general idea for a career aspect in gaming.
1- Gaming itself is not a 'single' idea when you opt it as a career. There are different aspects of this word as a career. It has a split possibility.
2- You can choose software compiling, story or script writing, animation, motion capture, editing, game playing or even the marketing side of a game.
3-If you are expert in some games, don't consider yourself as a professional game player. professional game players are supposed to play almost all the genres of the game perfectly.
5- If you want to proceed as a professional game player, remember that the game player or sometimes game testers are not having a very long span for the same career. I mean to say enjoying the game is a different thing but when you have to play it professionally, you don't enjoy that much.
6- There is one more scope to earn as a gamer and you could be a billionaire if you are good. Just keep participating in gaming contests. Now a days, they are paying a good amount as 'reward'. Some of them are BYOC(bring your own pc) and some of them are not. Some of the contests may also be for mutual gaming where you need to go with your team but still it's very beneficial.
7- If you are good at sketching, you may go for gaming to but as i already said- 'you must be really good at that'.
8- The knowledge of computers and softwares may be a big advantage for a gamer either as an animator or an editor. You might have noticed the long list of credits after you end up a game.
9- For those, who love music, may opt as a music composer of a game. Sometimes game music tracks become so popular, they beat movie chart busters.
At last, you can choose gaming as a career but you must be serious about that and can't dream of a famous 'game creator' while sitting in a couch, having your popcorns and playing counter strike.
